Lead the Families You're Called to Support
A year-long journey where you learn to guide parents in building an intentional family culture, clarifying shared mission, and leading their homes with principle rather than pressure.
Picture yourself facilitating a Family Foundations gathering—watching parents shift from frustration to clarity as they articulate their Family Mission Statements. Imagine leading a discussion where couples examine their patterns of communication and leave with practical systems for unity and order. You’re not offering parenting tips—you’re mentoring adults as they become visionary leaders within their own homes. Through your leadership, families move from reacting to circumstances to designing culture, from managing chaos to modeling principle.
This is Family Foundations.
This mentor training is designed for homeschool leaders and experienced parents who want to mentor other parents in their learning communities. Through your guidance, families clarify their vision and mission, establish principle-based patterns that foster unity and responsibility, and create home environments where Leadership Education can truly take root.
What You Will Be Equipped to Mentor
Guide Parents to Clarify Vision and Mission for Their Homes
Family Foundations is designed for the parents in your learning community. Through this mentor training, you learn how to guide them in stepping back from the daily demands of homeschooling to ask deeper questions:
What kind of family are we becoming?
What principles guide our decisions?
What is our mission in this season?
You will learn how to facilitate structured study and guided reflection around Vision, Mission, Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge—not as abstract educational theory, but as living patterns within the home. You are not simply supporting families. You are equipping parents to lead their homes with intention.
Teach Principle-Based Patterns for Family Culture
Each month of Family Foundations focuses on strengthening a different aspect of leadership within the home. In this mentor training, you learn how to lead classic-based discussions, Socratic conversations, and practical applications that help parents identify patterns that either build harmony or undermine it.
You will be prepared to mentor parents as they learn to:
Create peace in a chaotic world
Establish order without control
Strengthen unity with their spouse
Foster responsibility in their children
Replace reaction with principle
Family Foundations moves families beyond survival mode. Through your mentorship, parents begin designing culture rather than drifting into it.
Facilitate Weekly Parent Mentor Classes
This training equips you to host weekly Family Foundations classes for the parents in your learning community. In a structured lecture-and-discussion format, adults gather consistently to study and apply Leadership Education principles within their own homes.
These are not parenting workshops.
They are mentor-development environments.
Week by week, you guide parents as they learn how to mentor rather than manage—how to shift from control to influence, from reaction to principle, from enforcing compliance to cultivating growth. Through classic readings, structured discussion, and practical application, parents learn how to create homes where Vision, Mission, Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge are intentionally nurtured.
The consistency of weekly meetings builds confidence and clarity. Parents don’t just learn about Leadership Education—they learn how to live it and model it in their families.
Through your mentorship, they become the kind of mentors their children and students need.
Integrate a Guided Online Experience for Parents
As part of your mentor training, you receive a one-year Family Foundations Online Membership so you can fully experience the curriculum yourself. This allows you to understand the structure, pacing, and application before guiding other parents through it.
Parents in your community will purchase their own membership separately. You will learn how to integrate this self-paced, weekly curriculum—delivered through LEMI-U—into the local classes you host.
The online membership provides parents with:
Weekly video instruction
Socratic-style application
A downloadable workbook to document growth
A structured path from inspiration to implementation
Through your training, you’ll learn how to reinforce, contextualize, and deepen the online material within your weekly mentor classes. Instead of parents consuming content alone, they experience it within a guided community of accountability and discussion.
You won’t just recommend the program.
You’ll know how to mentor it.
What Makes a Great Family Foundations Mentor
You don’t need a perfect home. You need the humility to strengthen your own—and the confidence to guide others in strengthening theirs.
The most effective mentors:
Believe that family culture shapes long-term leadership
Are willing to examine and refine their own patterns
Facilitate honest discussion without shame or blame
Value principle over trends
Model growth rather than performance
If you believe strong communities begin with strong homes, you are ready to mentor Family Foundations.
More Than Parenting Advice—A Cultural Shift for Your Community
Family Foundations is not another curriculum to add to the calendar. It is a recalibration for the adults in your learning community.
Through your mentorship, parents gain clarity in their decision-making and experience increased unity within their homes. Tension decreases as communication improves, family discussions become more meaningful, and confidence grows in their role as intentional mentors rather than reactive managers.
As families strengthen, communities change. Parent leadership becomes steadier. Culture becomes more cohesive. Educational vision aligns more naturally because it is rooted in shared principles rather than preferences.
Participants consistently describe Family Foundations as the season when they stopped reacting to homeschooling and started leading their families with intention.
This is mentoring grounded in Leadership Education principles—where mission is clarified, culture is strengthened, and the next generation is guided from a place of conviction and purpose.
