Georgics Project ONLINE Mentor Training

from $334.00

The Georgics Project invites students to explore the principles that sustain free societies through meaningful work, creation, and stewardship. Rather than learning about responsibility and liberty in the abstract, scholars experience them through real-world application—developing a deep respect for work, ownership, community, and personal responsibility.

This page is for the purchase of LEMI Mentor Training for the Georgics Project. Because Georgics is rooted in project-based learning, our mentor training is experiential by design. During the immersive three-day intensive, you will step into the role of a scholar—participating in simulations, document studies, discussions, and hands-on project experiences that mirror what your students will do. This allows you to internalize both the what and the why of the project before mentoring it.

As a Practice Scholar–level project, Georgics is designed for students typically ages 12–14. In this training, you will learn how to guide students as they develop scholarly habits, initiative, and character while studying the foundations of free societies through Georgic principles such as stewardship, creation, ownership, community interdependence, and entrepreneurialism. You’ll practice mentoring students through productive struggle, meaningful work, and reflection—helping them build confidence, competence, and a sense of mission. Your role is to create the conditions where students learn to take responsibility for their education and their contributions, nurturing both heart and mind as they grow toward independence.
