Key of Liberty ONLINE Mentor Training
Key of Liberty invites students to explore the principles of liberty through meaningful, project-based learning. Rather than passively consuming information, scholars engage in purposeful work that challenges them to think, discuss, research, and take responsibility for their learning.
This page is for the purchase of LEMI Mentor Training for Key of Liberty. Because LEMI projects are rooted in project-based learning, our mentor trainings are experiential by design. During the immersive three-day intensive, you will step into the learner’s role—participating in simulations, document studies, colloquiums, and other core project experiences. This gives you a firsthand understanding of what your scholars will be doing and how to guide them effectively.
As a Practice Scholar–level project, Key of Liberty is designed for students typically ages 12–14, with an expected commitment of 10–15 hours per week. Through this training, you will learn how to mentor students while they study the Revolutionary War and the founding of the United States. You’ll guide them in developing strong study habits, critical thinking, and a growing sense of purpose as they engage with primary sources, discussion, research, and writing. Your role as a mentor is to provide clear structure, ask thoughtful questions, and help students connect historical ideas to personal responsibility—guiding them toward increasing independence while nurturing both heart and mind.
